T.I.A. Any advice much appreciated. My tiniest duckling (Pekin x Cayuga) is only 3 days old and while the others are all eating, drinking, pooping and growing, this little one, who we've named "Buttons" is not
They are peeping and moving, but not really interested in food - we've tried mashed, in oil, in water etc. but they're still not keen, and they only sip water occasionally. Also seems constipated, backs up but produces nothing.....I've tried a warm bath with coconut oil and epsom salts, cod liver oil, and hubby is now picking up peas to mash up and try. Would it help if I chopped up garden worms really small to see if they'll have that?? Any other suggestions much appreciated.
P.S. I also noticed faster breathing that the others when 1 day old. They are now 3 days old and appear to be shrinking, but this could just be in comparison to the others who are growing quickly......
