So five months ago, my family got 3 Broad-Breasted Bronze turkeys. A couple of weeks ago, they stopped growing and started losing their feathers. They have lost weight, their tail feathers are completely gone, and the rest of their feathers are getting a bit sparse. They spend a bit for time lying down. They are eating and drinking normally though, so I can't figure out what's wrong with them. We are keeping them with 4 hens and 2 ducks, they eat mostly store bought chicken feed augmented with bread and popcorn. We also live where it gets very hot (it's been between 105 and 115 for the last two months). Any ideas about how we can fix the problem?

I don't keep broad breasted, are they five months old or have you had them for five months, I know they have a shorter life than heritage breed, they are prone to heart problems. You should be giving them fruits and vegetables along with the feed. They are probably hot, I provide a large pan of water to stand in. Laying around is normal when it is hot, they could be eating, and pulling each other's feathers out, my hens pull the breast feathers off my toms, not sure why.
