Help... My whole flock seems to be in trouble!

@casportpony Is that dosing correct ?
Yes, 10 ml per gallon for 5 days, then 5 ml,per gallon for 7-14 days. Also okay to give the sickest 0.02 ml of undiluted Corid per 100 grams orally. I usually do this for 1-3 days in addition to their medicated water.

Yes, they have been on Corrid since Thursday and I have been feeding them some scrambled eggs in the evening for the past two days. This morning was the first morning without dead or weak chicks! The hens in the main coop all made it through the night so I'm really hoping the loss of the Orpington was just a fluke. I have put apple cider vinegar and vitamins in their water. The chicks in the grow our coop have been on Corrid since Thursday as well, and I'm not seeing any puffy birds in there anymore. My fingers are crossed that I am getting ahead of this thing finally...

thats good news. Casportpony said when they are sicker you can also give it to them directly . her post was above. She is our "poop inspector" and VERY good at what she does.

The good news is everyone in the brooder is doing a whole lot better. The bad news is, things with my layers don't look very good. As of this evening I have no doubt that I have a respiratory infection in the coop. Over half the birds are either sneezing or have eye discharge. I have been careful with bio security since I found the dead Orp, but there is not much I can do for the girls. I don't have any Tetracycline on hand, the vet doesn't stock it, and the only place I can get a prescription filled is closed until Tuesday. They are eating and drinking. I have ACV and vitamins in their water, but I feel that's like going into modern combat armed with a butter knife.

Thank you. I should have stocked up before the VFD took affect, but hindsight is 20/20. I can count with one hand the number of times I've needed any sort of antibiotic out here and I have a fantastic vet who knows my animals and will write a script if I need it... I just got caught on a long weekend. I'll keep up the supportive care and hope for the best.
