Chicks leg is hurt. She can't stand at all. Tries to walk but can't. When I pick her up the leg just hangs and the toes are curled up. I don't see any cuts or swelling. Not sure what happened. She was fine yesterday. Is eating and pooping just fine. I gave her aspirin in case she is in pain. But she doesn't seem to be hurting.

Sorry about your chick! Pictures may be helpful.

How old is this chick? If it just hatched, I'd stick it back in the incubator set to 95F.

If it's older, I'd separate it so others don't continue to injure it. Some vitamin water like Poultry Cell has B-complex and other vitamins/minerals in it that would help her heal.

For curled toes, we've used a tiny piece of cardboard and tape the toes straight onto that with vet wrap. That only takes about a day to fix those. Here's another method. https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...s-with-tape-picture-tutorial-and-video.75247/

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow

How old is the chick? Is this bird still in the brooder or in the coop? If this is a very young baby with curled toes, definitely follow the advice above about taping up the toes. If this bird is a bit older and hurt itself in the coop, you might keep her in a very small space, but with the rest if the flock. If this is a sprain, she needs to not move around much for a couple weeks. Keep food and water right there so she doesn't have far to go. Make sure to only use baby aspirin, full strength adult aspirin is too much for any sized chicken. If she is very small, a half baby aspirin once a day for pain and swelling.
