Hi, I'm anxiously awaiting news from your hatcher.

I have a duck egg hatching at the moment as well and am very nervous.
It’s a first time for me and I also lost one last week.

This duckling has externally pipped yesterday – made a little hole in a shell and did not make much progress by this morning.
But my daughter has just called that they can now see a beak sticking out. Oh, I hope it's going to work out ok this time.

I'm wishing you the very, very best of luck I'll keep my fingers crossed with you for yours and you keep yours crossed for mine!

I'm starting to see what I think is a bit of thinning on the shell where 2 of them might pip. Maybe our ducklings will celebrate the same birthday!

So it is breathing, that is one big step. Now just sit tight and wait. Ducks take lots of breaks to rest and to absorb their yolk and blood from their membrane. It should make progress in the next 24 hours. 48 hours are normal from the time they piped. Some even need a little bit longer. Let me know tomorrow how it looks like. You may have to help if it does not zip. Don't worry at this point, because it is absolutely normal so far. It just needs its time.
