In the Brooder
OK so my dad is recently disabled, and with the family depending mostly on his income they have suffered a great deal. Because of this, my father has decided to raise food for the family. He has chickens, ducks, turkeys, goats, etc. Unfortunately for him some days are better than others and some days he isn't able to get out there to the coop and tho my younger siblings say they are caring for them when he cannot, a lot of time it proves to be untrue. Due to this he has lost many of his animals slowly one at a time. I think his biggest issue is water. When the kids say they do it, they don't and he cannot go out to check everyday. It is pretty hot out, so i know that is probably a big fatality. As mentioned above, they don't have tons of money. So setting up a big watering system, or even buying a waterer is probably out of the question. Any DIY ideas to help him keep the chickens hydrated and possibly fed on days that he cannot go out so that he can rest assured knowing they are taken care of?? I would appreciate it so much. And BTW I'm not talking about a leg or back injury. He has an aortic dissection from the heart to the groin and an aortic aneurysm and both kidneys are failing to the point of transplant. So I'm not asking for criticism. He i doing what he can for his family! I just need ideas to help him because I'm 2 hrs away or i would!!
Thanks in advance!!!!
