Okay, I compromised a little. I ripped off a tiny corner of the paper towel, wet it and laid it on the egg and the side of it, just the top half of the egg, not where the baby will be pipping....
that way it shouldn't raise the humidity too high in the bator, yet, it might help to keep some humidity on the duck egg for non shrinkwrapping purpose, maybe, I don't know. I think I should go to bed, I'm driving myself nuts.
