Help!! Need info

So this morning we found an egg in our dog yard. Need help to identify what kind of animal this is for? What to do with it? Am I supposed to call wildlife and fisheries? Can I hatch it? Can I have this as a pet if I get a license?

It kind of looks like a duck egg, I know people can have ducks, but if it turns out to be something else you should definitely give it over to a sanctuary. It also might be a goose egg, in which you can keep those too. Just do your research and maybe take a picture of the egg and send it to some kind of service to properly identify it.
