HELP NEEDED ! Chicken Swallowed a RUBBERBAND!

My son shot a rubberband ( not at the chickens)in the backyard and our beloved Lucy ran over and swallowed it lickety-split before we could stop her ! Now he is crying uncontrollably and thinks she will die !
Has anyone else ever had this happen? Will it pass through? PLEASE let us know !

Many, many times. She will be fine. Rubberbands get broken down quickly.

Well Lucy is still going strong so I guess the rubberband passed, thanks for the support ! I have lost a few so, I get scared...I'm new at this chicken stuff ! Now they are all wet from the rain today, apparently they don't have enough sense to go into the coop when it's pouring...so...now I'm worried about that !

Chickens are as tough as an old boot. They will be fine.

vulconised rubber as CMV states will break down very easy

worse that can happen is it will sit in th egizzard while the grit rips it to sheds but be assured it will pass out as rubber mush
