I am new to the boards so I appreciate your tolerance of me simply jumping in. I've been lurking behind the scenes for better than a year and I'm glad I finally joined up. I am an Ag. Science teacher in SE Texas and I received an email today from a co-worker, regarding a friend of hers.
It seems that her friend had a pair of China Brown's and a couple of weeks ago her gander was shot and killed by some kids. From what I can gather from the email, the goose is completely withdrawn and in poor shape over the loss of her mate.
I contacted another resource that I had available and all they told me was to give the goose some vitamins in her water to help de-stress the bird.
In short I am looking for anything that may help this lady and her China Brown. She would like to purchase a mature mate for her girl, but I am sure that any helpful advice would be appreciated.
