Hi
Day 29 of incubation
Call ducks usually take 26
No internal pips
No noises
No rocking of egg
Candled egg last night and saw slight movement of duck but still fully inside egg above air sac
How long should i leave it?
can it be this late to hatch?
Has been lockdowned for 2 days and higher humidity still seeing movement inside egg so looks alive??
Anybody have any experience with this????

Do you have at least one calibrated thermometer inside your incubator? What is it reading? I'm guessing your temp was on the low side. I'll tag @WVduckchick amd @Isaac 0 they both hatch calls.

No nothing at all
Today is day 30 and I’ve candled egg again didn’t see any movement at all so peeled away at air sac saw the membrane which looked tight and dry so presumed he had suffocated in egg
Removed a small part of membrane saw abit of blood so left it alone then saw a movement of the duck
But I’ve noticed the duck is completely upside down
I can see his bum and back legs but that’s it
I’ve put it back in incubator wrapped in warm wet cotton wool and now have no idea if I should help him out or what?
Can’t find any answers to ducks upside down not hatching
No piping
No noises
No marks on eggs
No signs of attempting to hatch
I’ve wet membranes with oil and can only hope I’ve not done any damage and that he can hatch upside down any suggestions???

First, remove the wet cloth. That can cause a chill, and doesn’t help keep it moist. I know it seems logical, but it actually doesn’t help. The ambient humidity in the incubator will help more.

Was the membrane broken at all?

When you remove the wet cloth, try and get a better pic of what’s showing in the opening please.

The lighter parts of the duck are the back legs
I’ve made them out clearly as it moved and I could see feet
But the rest of the duck is clearly way up in the egg back to front
Really not sure what to do now
The membranes was not broken the air cell had not been touched before I opened it
