Hi, my mother in law is an inadvertent host for this handsome bird. It arrived in her back yard some weeks ago and shows no wish to move on. What is the best way of dealing with ithis? Has anyone lost her/him? Would anyone wish to re home her? I’m not sure of sex, bird looks more like a hen in terms of crest and wattle but does crow…

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
It's hard to see the saddle feathers (the feathers on the lower back, just in front of the tail).
If they are long and pointed, it's a male. If they are rounded, it's a female.
Once you determine the gender, you can post an ad for him/her on Craigslist or by joining some local Facebook Poultry groups and advertising there.
Good luck.
