Help needed...Olive is sick, what am I missing? Also poop pics.

Thank you for all the great information. Olive is still not eating her food but moving around well, foraging and hanging out with the other ducks. The 1st that the vet can see her is Weds evening, I'm hoping she starts eating and feels better before then.
Her poop this morning is clear with white stringy bits in it. Any thoughts on what it could be? Terrible picture since its next to the pool and everything is all wet. It's their pool deck that is green and not her poop (I really need to get out there and pressure wash).View attachment 1859965
I have never taken so many poop picture in my life, lol.
Not sure -- looks like less acid green, though. My ducks poop white sometimes, don't think that's an issue. If she's sti;; not eating, I would keep your appt. with the vet.

Yes, most of the green is gone now. Since she has a couple days before going to the vet I'm just going to focus on getting her to eat something. She didnt want scrambled eggs so thinking maybe salmon...and picking up mealworms, they have never had them before so might be a nice treat.

Yesterday felt like it took forever for Olives appt time to come around. She did great in the car just stood up and looked out the windows the whole time.
It's funny going to an exotic animal vet, we ended up in the waiting room with our duck, a lady with a chicken and another woman with a chameleon...quite the assortment of critters.
They ran a bunch of tests for Olive and it felt like it took forever.
Fecal exam showed no signs of parasites, worms or coccidia.
X rays showed no signs of any kind of ingested metal (which we had also been concerned about).
However, the X ray did show a large mass in her reproductive tract. The vet said it did not look like an egg and also did not look like any fluid that could be drained. As a result this mass is pushing up on all of her internal organs which explains why she has not been eating.
We were given meloxacam for pain and inflammation. Olive has always been a tiny duck (she's the smallest of all our girls) but she has lost weight and is just under 2lbs. Perscribed dose was .5ml once a day.
Thankfully she was sent home with us and happy to rejoin her flock. She is still eating some treats and was pretty excited about getting some spaghetti last night. We were told she probably has about a week before her condition worsens so I'm not worried about giving her whatever she will actually eat.
She's good this morning and hanging out with the other ducks and doesn't appear to be in any pain.
Thank you all for your help, i appreciate it so much!
Just wanted to leave as much info as possible in case it helps someone in the future. Drives me crazy when I read through old 'whats wrong with my duck' posts only to get to the end and it just stops with no answer :)
- Also, gave her meds without help this morning (hubby has previously been helping)...I know it's not hard but a new thing for me...she pooped on me but I did it, lol. <happy dance>

@Runner duck mom I am very sorry to hear about Olives diagnosis. :hugsWe get so attached to these little ones it’s heartbreaking to think one maybe suffering and we may lose her. Please know we’re here for you and thank you for sharing with us.

Yes, I never thought I would get so attached before our 1st ducks ever arrived. Now, I'm excited to see them every morning and look forward to just sitting in the yard every afternoon watching them do duck stuff.
I am glad for a few more days with her and know what is coming.
I'm very happy to have found this site and all of you who understand they are not 'just ducks' they are pets and members of the family. :hugs
