help needed please

hi all, could you please tell me if i am doing everything correctly, basically i found an egg (swan/goose unsure) and took it home to save it, incubated it and 2 nights ago done the touch threw a toilet roll test and there was a dark shadow and the top was a pinky colour, i showed my mom last night and it seemed to have grown nearly double the size and the shadow is round and unmissable, the egg has been incubator for 8 days and misted every day and slightly tilted and allowed it to cool for 15 mins on the 4th day (i have read all this up on the internet as i have never tried this before) am i doing this correctly? any information would be greatfully accepted thank you
