HELP!!! New Baby Duck!

Help! My dad just came home with a baby duck! So here's the story... My dad was walking along the river and he noticed a little baby duck running along (chasing some fishermen

). There was no other ducks in sight all along the river, and the poor thing was obviously tired and shivering. So he assumed that it had been abandoned. So he caught it and brought it home. We have set up its home. But we are unsure of what to feed it. We (Thank God!) just got a package of baby chick food in the mail for our chicks coming on Friday, so I gave it a little plate of that, but I know that the protein (or calcium?) content in chick food is more than in duck food. So can I keep feeding it chick food until we have a better solution???

Also do you have any tips I should know about baby ducks? All help is welcome!!!

UPDATE!!! (Already, I know!) It turns out its a baby goose!

I know that ducks can feed on chick feed as long as it is not medicated. They eat so much that they can overdose on it. Not sure if the same can be said for geese.
