Help new chick not doing well!!!!

They just got here within the hour and this one has not been doing well since we opened the box. We managed to get her to take a little sav-a-chick and eat a crumble or two of food. Anything else I can do?


She's got a big scabby like thing stuck to her backside, beside the vent. Is this egg yolk?

can't tell, I would wash her butt in warm water, see it the scab comes off. if the vent is plugged she can't poo, that is called pasty butt. you could dry her with a towel and keep her warm see if that helps
