Hi, the advice you've gotten so far is good advice.Keep her seperate from the other chickens. Is she eating/drinking any at all?

I really don't know what else to tell ya, I do hope she gets better.

Keep her in a warm area. On the place where the dried blood is you can cut that off. Keep washing daily with salt water better know as saline solution and covering with neosproine. In the place the wound is you should be able to cover it with some gauze and vet wrap.

It is going to take between 2-3 weeks for that would to heal really well. Also I would start her on a 10 course of antibiotics such as Terramycin at the rate of 4 tsp per gallon of water for 4 days and then 2 tsp per gallon for the last 6 days.

I bought some ointment made just for animals including chickens. I put that on my chicken and it seems to be doing a little better. The dried blood is coming off slowly with a warm damp washcloth so I think I will stay with that method. I would probably be too scared to cut it off and it could start bleeding again. I might be able to get some vitamins or electrolytes from TSC Wednesday to put in her water if TSC has any. I do thank you for your advice though.

Chickens^^,

it sounds to me like you're doing a simply excellent job of taking care of your wounded hen. You're getting very good advice here, and you're asking smart questions. Your chickens are lucky to have you taking care of them. I'm glad your wounded hen is eating and drinking. That's a good sign. (I also think your frizzles are adorable.)

I hope everything works out--chickens have amazing powers of recovery, especially when they have caring people like you.

Chickens,
I don't have a lot of advice for you besides what has already been given, but I just wanted to say that those frizzles are the cutest I've ever seen!
