We have 7 laying Isa Browns and recently added 19 newbies ( 2 roosters and 17 hens not yet laying) in the last few weeks every day we go out to the coop more eggs than not have been pecked and eaten. We assume it is the new chickens that are doing this as our older hens have never pecked their eggs. Any advice??

What does everyone eat? You might want to consider roll away nest boxes. Or filling some blown out eggs with yellow dish soap.
They are all eating layer crumbles currently as the newbies are just about laying age. I will try the yellow dish soap! We have never had this issue before while adding to the flock but also never have had roosters.

Try mixing a higher protein feed in with the layer. But soap eggs might be your best bet if your newbie hens are just being nosey.

I've never had one, but everything I've read says it's a bad habit that you'll not break, and roll-away nest boxes are the only real solution, or culling the egg-eater. In any case, you want to nip this in the bud as soon as possible, and remove the culprit before they teach the rest of the flock what a tasty nutritious feast eggs are. But it may be wild birds - apparently some members of the crow family will eat eggs if they can get access.

No advice on the egg layers. But wanted to mention I have seen it said many times not to feed Layer pellets to roosters, that it can cause health issues (kidneys??). So you might want to ask about that.
I will have to look Into that. Not sure how I could keep him from eating it unless I completely separated them.... we never intended on having roosters but the two we got are pretty awesome, but we may re home them if it will be better for them

The way most people with mixed flocks do it is feed an All Flock type of feed and provide oyster shell on the side for their laying hens to eat free choice.

My flock stays on 20% starter crumbles and I still give free choice oyster shells.
