Help new member with pullet!!!

That could well be possible. Let us know what happens, and a clear picture of her cleaned up vent would be helpful.
This is the cleanest it gets.. I am not sure you can see it.. but we can see her vent all the way around this green thing.. and the green thing is pliable but was hard this morning.. after soaking it became soft and pliable again.. her crop is water filled or very squishy.. and anytime you bother her she is very vocal.. but she does want to eat if hand fed.. and she will flap her wings and she stands all the time or perches..
What is the age of this hen? Has she been laying eggs at all up to this point?
Oh no no.. we only got her a couple weeks ago.. she is maybe.. 6wks to 8wks?

Has she been eating anything other than chick feed? Has she had access to grit? Has she been outside on natural soil? Searching for clues here. I admit I'm stumped.
No.. they all just got their big girl feathers maybe a week ago? And were going to be outside then this happened now everyone is on quarantined until we know this isn't contagious since I have 21 bigger hens already outside.. but no.. no grit.. no soil.. only chick feed and water..

Does this green thing (intestines?) come straight out of the vent? I would agree with you that this may be necrotic bowel. Is any poop coming out? If it is bowel, it would be best to put her down. Otherwise she will die a painful death of infection. She is just the sweetest looking little pullet.

I am not sure that you can do a whole lot more if she has bowel hanging out. If she eats and drinks, and is pooping, you could see how she does. I’m really sorry that I cannot suggest more.
She does eat and drink when offered.. but her crop is always fluid filled.. which is why I am lead to the impaction.. if this goes on much longer though I don't want to keep having her in pain and stressed and away from her chickymates.. I know she is sad which is why she clings to me..

So an update for anyone following... She is still lethargic today.. which is now.. day 6? Maybe 7? She does eat a lot and drinks when offered.. she wants to constantly be with me now.. and she literally coos and chirps all the time..

Her thing stays in for a while but every time she poos it comes out.. and dangles there.. I have now bought coconut oil, as suggested by another poster.. however although I was told to get her to eat it.. yea that is a no go there.. so I have been using it as a lubricant which has been working out well since it also has antimicrobial properties.. I feel so bad her little bum feels hard and is so raw from cleaning and such..

She still stands all the time.. never lays down.. her crop still fluid filled this morning..

But maybe some hopeful news.. we have a lead on an avian vet in our area.. we have to drive a bit to get to him.. but we are going to call him today and see if he can see us..

Fingers crossed at this point..

Update for all...

This is the end of this posting.. our poor chicky died on the way to the vets.. we still kept going to get a necropsy done just to know if I did anything wrong because I blame myself so so much right now..

Come to find out our poor girl had a ceca fall out at her young age.. the vet said there was nothing we could have done and she would've died anyway..

If we would've been informed.. we wouldn't have made her suffer in a box all alone with only me holding her all day..

At least we know we can integrate the other chicks from her litter (is that even the proper term)..

Anyway.. I am very sad.. a whiskey is not even helping the sadness tonight.. she is buried by a blueberry bush with a little headstone and her name Veda.. meaning knowledge.. because that little chick taught us so much in her short little lifespan and will have the way for more knowledge for her sisters..

I hope to meet her again one day.. she truly turned into a pet.. she was definitely going to be a house chicken..

But while she taught me to be prepared.. she also taught me to not become attached..

Wish us luck in our flock.. have a blessed day everyone.. blessed be to all of you..
