Hi all, Pleased to meet you.

ive got a little issue - ive been incubating my eggs for 25 days now and 2 are moving the other 3 are doing nothing. Are they stuck in the egg?

They are Black silkie eggs with no pips or cant hear them making any noise either??

This is my first hatch, i bought 12 eggs from ebay put 6 in with a chicken who didnt go broody and chucked one egg cus it was not fertile, i have put the 6 from my friends coop in the incubator but im not sure anythings happening there.

Any help would be great.

Thanks in advance

I had a similar issues with some mutt eggs that I tried to incubate. The ones that did hatch didn't hatch until day 27 (I didn't have the heart to give up on them). There's a thread on here somewhere about helping stuck eggs hatch, or just cracking the shell and leaving the membrane. Let me try to find the link for you. Don't give up!

Best of luck. Sounds like the temperature was probably running low. On the last few days, to prevent stuck chicks and the like, be sure not to open the bator and that the humidity is correct. If they have not made a hole in the shell, give them more time. After they have pipped, give at least a 24 hours before even thinking about helping because if their veins are not adsorbed, it is a good way to have a bled out chick.

Alright, I don't know how to post the link for the thread, but I found the information so you can look for it yourself. It's posted under incubating and hatching, on 6/21/2009 by zowieyellowflame called I'm Getting Impatient...Should I Help? Can't Stand it Much Longer! I really hope this helps, I know how frustrating it can be and I didn't find this thread until well after I had issues with my hatch. Good Luck!

maybe the temps have been a little low then, i have had them at 37.5 c? this was what i was told when i bought the incubator.

Thanks for the link - ill be sure to check it out just incase. any other advice welcome.

Cheers

joost looking for a little more advice really, if my eggs were jumping around and now moving a little for some and not at all for the others are they dead or are they just to big to move now?

ive only seen 3 of the 5 in the bator moving and now only one is moving a little, im on day 26?

Cheers guys
