Help. New to ducks

Just got two ducks to add to my flock of chickens the other day and noticed today this young one has some sort of insects all around its eye. Any ideas what this may be and how to treat?

Do an on site search on 'stick tight fleas'. Several threads for their eradication should appear. Treat before they spread to the rest of your flock.

Permethrin spray dabbed on with a Q tip should kill them. Careful not to get it in the eyes. Once dead, it may be necessary to pluck them off by hand.
