Help, newbie here. Can roosters get too cold?

We adopted roosters that were at the humane society and we've lost a few to predators since we let them free range. Today we were out and came home st dusk to find one upside down in the snow. We brought him inside, turned up the heat and put him in front of the vent. We was very lethargic and we are trying to get some water on his beak. Any suggestions? I'm terrified of birds, but my daughter loves them.

Any suggestions, my daughter is in tears, we found her favorite little guy dead today and now this one....

Welcome! I am sorry that the circumstances in which you join us are not nice and also for your daughter's loss

Living in Aus I do not personally have experience with colder temps and recovering chickens that have been affected but suggest you try posting on the Emergencies & Diseases Forum, the folks there are very experienced and helpful.

Even wild birds can get to cold and freeze to death. Sorry for your loss, I understand how upset your daughter must be.
