Hello. I've just gotten to work and noticed the heat lamp in our brooder has blown. I have 2 chicks in there one is 1 1/2 weeks, the other is 2 weeks. It's currently 24 degrees celcius at home (75 Fahrenheit) at 8.41am with a top temp today of 30 (86 Fahrenheit). Will they be okay? My husband is 3 hours away at work, I am also at work but could try and get a cab home in a couple of hours to change to bulb. Any advice would be greatly appreciated .

It shouldn't be, as long as they have each other to huddle with. Even so, 20s is not that bad compared to what a lot of chickens have to survive. I still haven't turned my lamp on yet.

They are huddled together in the far corner away from where the heat lamp is. They usually sleep there so that's probably a good sign. I might pop home if I can...I'd never forgive myself if something happened to them. Thanks for your advice.
