The chick may be resting. If the temperature was a bit cool the chicks could hatch a day or two late. I have had a chick hatch on day 25. Good luck...

Why did you take the egg away from the chicken?

I took it away because it was very cold and I could even see frost on the grass, I worried that the chick might freeze if it were still alive.
so we thought that just for hatching well put in in a incubator, since when chicks hatch they're wet and if it hatches at night it might freeze..
