the first is a barred rock and the second I also think gamebird both appear to be females to me. You may want to check them over closely for mites and lice and worm them just in case. The poor hen kept in a crate in the sun, was not well cared for -an extra incentive to really check her thoroughly. I know good people pity animals in bad situations but, you can end up with a bucket load of trouble like, contagious diseases, etc. etc. . It's best to buy from someone who takes good care of their stock.
Thank you! I was worried that the black and white one was a rooster. I know, but I just had to get her. I ended up giving both a flee and tick bath then sprayed a solution on them for mites. I also gave them raw pumpkin seeds just in case they had worms, I know it's probably not enough with the pumpkin seeds but I gave it a try.
