BYC forum..thanks for existing! They were supposedly shipped from somewhere in PA. I even called Fedex and they didn't have any trucks making deliveries on our street that day. Planning on stopping by the post office today to see if their scanners will recognize any of the codes on the packing info.

I really couldn't believe when the letter started talking about automatically entering us in the Goat raffle. Duck raffle and Sheep raffle?!?!?!?

I made a stop at the post office today with the packing label. They confirmed the street address does not exist in their system and they had NO chicken shpiment go through our area this week. They took a photocopy of it and are going to be submitting it to the post office inspector and show it to the Fedex guy that stops by their office daily. Post office worker that was helping me happens to be a bird man- he has chicks duck peacocks etc. He offered up a cage if we decide to keep some and is willing to take some if I can't find homes for most of them myself. Not sure about the cops or animal control...I'd probably just go done on their wackiest stories ever list...no thanks! I don't want to get anyone in trouble, just really want to make sure we don't "win" the goat raflle or any other animal raffle! ...unless of course i win the free barn raffle first! LOL Although I have angry moments about this whole thing, I can't help but laugh at how bizarre it all is! I really haven't laughed and smiled this much in a while. I have a video only so far....can videos be upload on this forum?

What a weird way to thin a flock. Maybe they thought they were helping you? Did you ever express any interest in chickens? Agreed its not a very considerate practical joke, but the addendum about the next raffle is kinda funny.
