help on age

at what age can you put young chicks on the ground in a run.i am new at being a chicken dad.i am buying two banty cochans that are 8 weeks old.they have been kept on a shelf on the back porch.

they are plenty old enough at 8 weeks old we have 7 week old Buff orpington pullets and they have been doing it since week 4

Yep they are old enough. Mine have been on the ground since 1 week old with their momma.

They will love it!!!!

We also got our chickens at 8 weeks. They went right in the coop and out in the run. Been there ever since.
