She was. And yes,the other hens would kick her off the nest to lay their eggs.

Well... I guess there's your answer... I think the chick looks like s/he should have gone into lock down maybe yesterday or today. It was just too early for the baby. Not sure where to go from there.

I'm afraid my impatience got the better of me. I was just so upset the other four didn't make it, I kind of lost all hope for this little guy. But she's a fighter,that's for sure.
