Clueless Noob here. What have I got?

One of these...

One of these...my neighbor called it Gerber, for the Gerber Baby as it looks like the poster child for Chicks.

This one has puffy cheeks.

I am assuming that these three are different colored Silkies.

These are, I'm guessing, our dark colored Polish? (the smallest of the group)

Here are the blonde Polish Chicks, right? (there is sooo a joke there)

The last two pics, may look like similar, but I swear from our angle they are two different types.

After previewing this post, I think I am missing one in the pics, as I am pretty sure there are 24. There are only 23 shown, you may not be able to tell but there are 9 of the Blonde Polish Chicks.

Thanks again for your help!!!

Not so good that this, but I'll give it a go!

1. Austrolorp? I don't think so... (sp?)

2. Could be a ton of chicks, alot look like that!

3.?

4. The buff and yellow look like Silkies...not sure on the black and yellow though, might be another Silkie. (I told you I was bad at this!)

5. 2 Silver laced and one...eer...other-colored Polish....

6. Look like white crested black Polish!

7.-8. Look like Easter Eggers to me!

Someone else will give you more assuring answers! G'luck!

If you got the Ornamental Layer collection, then those aren't Silkies. MM doesn't sex those. They are Cochins, I bet. Looks like a fun mix of chicks. The green legged ones with puffy faces are EEs.

ETA: They have pictures of all their chicks on the website or in the catalog. It might take some time, but I bet you could figure out what you have.

Thanks so much guys! I am excited about having an EE!! How cool!
I'm a Librarian, so yeah...I'll figure it out. LOL But I figured I'd give being lazy a shot and ask here first.

Unfortunately we lost another last night, one of the dark colored Polish ones.

Fingers crossed that that is all.

They are just so amazingly cute.

I, too am new to chickens, but a few of those look remarkably like my chicks from MM that I got three weeks ago. I'll do my best at guessing:

1. looks exactly like my Cuckoo Marans chicks, which look exactly like Barred Rock chicks... at least to my untrained eyes. If it happens to be a Marans, yo ushould get nice, super-dark brown eggs.

2. could be a lot of things, but it does look like my Buff Orpington chicks

3. This is an EE or what MM calls Ameraucanas. I got one that looks just like this and she has turned out to be my most fun-loving, adventuresome, friendly chick. The puffy cheeks and green legs are a dead giveaway.

4, 5, 6. I am not knowledgeable enough to know, but you definitely have some feather-footed and crested breeds in there

7 & 8. look like more EEs to me, but I'm not sure about 7.

9. I don't have a clue, but I know I've seen chicks that look like that before. I think you're right that they are different. If you have a little time on your hands, it's fun to browse the chick pics on the MM website to see if one matches! That's what I did with my Mystery Chick - the "free rare chick" that MM gives you with an order of 25.

Good luck to you! They are very cute! Come back and post pics when they get bigger and maybe more people will have guesses. Either way, we'd like to see them! Thanks for posting the pics!

very cool that you got a Phoenix! That was a breed that really fascinated me but I didn't get any because I read they were mean and stand-offish. Since then, I have read that many people have very sweet Phoenixes and now I feel like I've missed out! Oh well, maybe next year! Good luck with your chicks

It's hard to get a good look from the photo, but the dark Polish chick in the center could be a gold-laced. The other two look as if they are lighter - is that a quirk of the flash and they are as dark as the one in the middle? If they are that light, they look like they could be blue, although I wasn't aware that MM has blue Polish.

The other Polish chicks are certainly white-crested black.

No way! A Phoenix?

Now I actually hope it's a rooster! (don't tell me husband) I was just reading about them last night! They are gorgeous!
You guys can't tell from the pic if it is a roo yet, right?

As far as the dark colored Polish ones, well moot point now.
