Help, our Silkies hate the egloo cube

We took out the plastic roosting bars for our Silkies. They make a silkie cuddle puddle and are much happier on wood shavings. (We have newspaper under the shavings) We also made a ramp that we put on top of the ladder. It took a couple nights for them to get used to their new home but now they seem happy there.

I wonder about security as i think it would be able to be breached by many predators. I agree with above regarding floor. It also seems really pricy for what you've got. Maybe if you call the company they can work something out with you. If you have the walk in pen you could probably find another prefab to fit inside. I would recommend talking to a local farm and seeing if anyone builds coops. Local builders are usually less. Cost of wood right now is a factor though.
