HELP! Out of chicken food;anything around the house they could eat?

New to chickens don't know what to do!

Most veggies, hardboiled eggs, some cooked meat ... really they're sort of little dinosaurs with feathers!

Just about anything you have in the house would be fine for your chickens... how old are they?

cook them some rice, or oatmeal, or speghetti, mac n cheese?
yogurt, cottage cheese, scrambled eggs.....steamed veggies, fruit,
you get the picture

Oatmeal mixed with yogart, wheat berries, a cucumber or melon, sliced open. Mine even like raw eggplant sliced in half. Applesauce.

And a trip to the feed store first thing in the morning!

An old timer told me that a chicken would eat any thing a buzzard would eat. Then it would eat the buzzard

I feed them left over that I kid don't eat. They chickens clean them all.

We always feed our chickens the scraps that are left over from meals and also the scraps from the prep of those meals. We have in the kitchen what we call the chicken bowl for all the scraps of the day to go in and then we take that out to the chickens to pick over.

After seeing many of the coops on this sight and now reading some of these menu choices, I am quickly realizing that a lot of your chickens are living better than I do!
