Help! Over heated limp chicken. pics added

When animals eat, it causes heat; don't be too worried if she isn't interested in her favorite treats right now. All the other advice here is really good. Time will tell -keep a good thought. She's really pretty and the look on her face is 'Ahhhhhhhhhhhh air-conditioning!'...

Thanks I'm really trying to deal with the situation and not panic this evening and see how she is in the morning. That will moment to see if she has made a marked improvement after a long nights sleep.

When I woke up this morning she had eaten alot of her watermelon. I put her outside to freerange and she is acting like a normal chicken. Thanks so much for everyone's support. I have 18 chickens and I always hear of people loosing one and I haven't lost one yet. So yesterday was a real eye opener and had it not turned out this way I'm not sure how I would deal with it. I'm sure it's bound to happen sooner or later. Thanks again. I'll let everyone know if she lays a huge egg or how she is doing later today.

Yeaaahhhhh!

I am so glad she is ok.

I seen it on a thread here too about the frozen water, I use two gallon jugs, place them in the freezer at night, and put them in the chicken coop and run in the morning, no problems yet, today is forecasted to be 106 here in Central Texas.

Yeah I had a swimming pool in the run for them but that wasn't enough So today I added an additional 15 x 6 feet of shade cloth, a sprinkler system in the run and I have 5 jugs of waterin the freezer for tomm. I actually got lucky and learned a lesson. What feels like overkill when your doing it, feels like foolishness when you don't and your trying to revive a chicken. She hasn't laid an egg today but if she lays another humungous egg I'll let ya'll know.
