Can someone tell me if this chick is male or female? It’s yellow but the farmer who we got it from said it would probably turn white. Wing sexing does not work unless birds are specifically bred for that, and most are not. Amberlinks are bred for feather sexing, but it has to be first generation birds from the hatchery. It won't work with second generation crosses.

Post at 6 weeks if it isn't clear by then. These chicks are most likely cross breeds as that is what backyard breeders usually sell.
