I noticed my pekin duck limping a little yesterday, didn't really think anything of it.. today he is laying on the ground with his head down too.. which is new. Yesterday I kept him in his house so he wouldnt walk on it.
I know an epsom salt bath will be good for him.. but not sure If he'll be able.to hold himself up in the water?
Anything else I can do?
Anything for pain?

(I'm at work) so I can't do much yet, worried about him!!

Other people who know more will chime in, but for now i can tell you that i have seen dosing of asprin our ibuprofen. Also might be good to bring him inside in a hospital cage. A physical exam would be good to see if you can find the issue. Leg problems seem to be common in pekins, slipped tendon seems to be a common problem amoung the ducks that have leg issues.

Well, bumble is a staff infection, that if untreated can go into their homes and eventually lead to death. it needs to be drained or treated with antibiotics or both. I haven't heard about callous on a duck, but maybe similar to a human. Someone else will probably be along shortly as well.

Sorry a little more info. Bumble is very common and treatable. It usually starts with a bump on the bottom of the foot or maybe a swollen toe. More advanced will appear as a scab on the bottom of the foot. If you post pictures of the bottoms of his feet we can give you an opinion.
