Thankyou!
It doesn't look like it's absorbed all the yolk, there is a bit of a hole on its stomach, say a penny size. It's tummy still looks egg shaped. Is there anything I should do?
If it is strong it can still finish absorbing the yolk and be a perfectly healthy baby. I'd say just let it rest where it is unless it looks like it is going to move or thrash too much and possibly burst the yolk. If this seems to be the case, you can use some kind of sterilized container (like a small cup) and place the baby in there. Hopefully that will help it to feel more secure so that it doesn't kick and move so much. I've had a few (chicks and ducks) who seemed in such a hurry to get out, they didn't wait to finish. I lost one (it refused to sit quiet and burst the yolk). The rest grew up big and healthy.
It's been very active trying to walk, though only on it hocks still. I'm not home right now but will check on it when I'm back (later this afternoon) and pop it in a cup if it's still all uncoordinated with its movements. Thanks!!
It does look like the yolk is gone. It's a lot quieter this morning. I can't get a good look at it cause it's put itself in the far corner of the incy. But I have another zipping right now, so will just have to leave it and see.
