[Pigeon egg newby]

Really looking for some advice please... 2 full weeks today my cat brought in a unharmed egg. Not knowing where it came from (so could find the best to put back) I decided to put it under a lamp slightly moist and turn every 4-5ish hours (I’ve done as much research as I can) not knowing if the egg is even fertile or has been damaged in the transport. Last weekend I took a picture with torch on my phone and there was a blob of pink.... just know I have took another pick and blob is black! I fear the worst and has died but I’m so desperate for some positive news. Please enlighten me... first pic a week ago, second pic now

From the first picture do you think it was alive but died or not fertile in the first place? I appreciate any advice

I’m not sure... I’ve only ever incubated quail eggs and if they are not fertile they will never develop veins, regardless of a blob inside but I’m not sure if it’s different for other birds

If I had to guess I’d say it was never fertile
