Help please, 1 dead chicken and others getting sick!

I noticed my little silkie was sneezing yesterday, and a couple of others have had loose poo. Today when I woke up the little silkie was pretty much dead, with fluid coming out of its mouth. Now, I noticed that a couple others are slow moving and kind of gasping and all fluffed up. Please someone help me diagnose to help my flock (medicines, etc.) I really need to find a cure quick. Thanks

I know someone out there is bound to have an idea or suggestion for me. The wife is picking up some duramyacin, hopefully it helps, other than that I have no ideas. I've read alot of different posts and some were close to my problem and thats how I came up with duramyacin. If anyone else has had a similar problem and found something that worked, id love to hear your solution.

Keep the sick ones away from the healthy ones. Put the sick ones in a separate cage and maybe bring them inside to monitor them... The best thing you could to is keep them away from the healthy ones so that it doesnt spread. Make sure that they are eating and drinking. Keep them in until they are better. If you want to, maybe take them to an avian vet.

Have they been exposed to any other birds-either by someone visiting you or vice versa?

I've never had chicks sick like that, but I did have a young hen get sick and I also gave her duramayacin in hter drinking water. I also put vitamins/electrolites in her drinking water too. And I ran a vaporizer with vicks on her. I really thought she would die because she was all puffed up and sneezing, but she came through with flying colors! (I kept her indoors--in my basement storage room when she was sick.)

Tylan is the heavy hitter for respiratory problems but almost always has to come from vet or vet/poultry supply catalog. It will help with chronic respiratory disease and mycoplasma gallisepticum that duramycin or auremycin won't seem to touch. We had a nasty little bug come around last year and got the info on Tylan from Mississippi State. Some people used the injectable with good results. I used the water soluble. It was the answer but a little expensive. The heat and humidity really aggravate respiratory problems in MS. Hope this helps.
