My 14 day old chick has been pooping, drinking and eating well - but it feels like it has a bubble of air on the right side of its neck, breathing heavily and it’s wings are droopy... does anyone have any ideas?

Is the "air bubble" right below his neck, or on his chest? That would be the crop, so that getting large is completely normal. I agree to check that its emptying though.
How hot is your brooder? Are you using a heat lamp? If so, does the brooder have a cool side so they can escape the heat?

Thank you for the reply!
It’s on what I would consider it’s neck and the crop area and when I touch it, it doesn’t feel hard but rather soft and “airy”.
It’s under a heat lamp, but only on one side of the pool brooder because I read the chicks should be able to get away from the heat should it be needed.

It’s crop is emptying - last night it was full and this morning it was empty, but now again that area looks like it’s full of air...? I’ve added videos of it.
Thank you for the video, makes a world of difference to see it. Poor sweet thing!

I would say it's a ruptured air sac. See if releasing the air will make a difference.
Kim found a pretty good video that shows you how it's in this link.

Just very recently, I've been battling crop issues in two hens, one two years old, the other twelve. It's been my first time to notice that an overfilled crop will bulge up over the right shoulder and appear as a swollen, water-filled sac on the back of the shoulder or neck. It scared me the first time I observed it on my two-year old who was enduring a bad case of sour crop. I thought it was a tumor. Then yesterday, I noticed the twelve-year old had it, too. She just has slow crop, not sour crop.

I don't know what causes this. Perhaps a weakness in the crop wall. But I don't think it's a life threatening issue.

If your chick is lethargic, there are probably other reasons for it, one being constipation not allowing the crop to move contents out regularly. I suggest giving the chick some coconut oil, half a teaspoon of slightly chilled oil so it's easier to stuff into the beak.
