help please-australorpe broken leg

Hey all,
My black autralorpe was running away from me last night when I was shooing them into the coop. She stepped on a raised bed garden wrong, and then all of sudden just stopped and sat down. I picked her up and put her back down, she wouldn't walk on that foot. Now, it's all swollen and she still isn't using it. What do I do??? Please help, my DH is gone for the weekend so I may have to do it myself. Thanks,all.

I wish I could help! All I can say is make sure she's still drinking. And eating, but it's more important that she drink. And probably separate her from the others so they don't peck at her

Thanks, we have wrapped her leg with gauze type bandages and are going to just wait and see. of course, i am worried but in our situation there is not much more we can do for her. Thanks for your kind thoughts.

Have you called around to you local vets to see what they say?
