In that case, I'm leaning towards squirrel. To be honest I don't rehab small mammals myself, so I haven't seen a squirrel that young to say for certain. I'd call your local wildlife rehab group if there's one around! If you can't find one online by doing some searches, I'd call your local Fish & Game department and ask there, and vet offices may know who to call as well.

If it is a squirrel as I suspect it is, it is actually illegal to keep it, so it's better not to. That little one will be a lot of work anyway, and because there was cat contact it will probably need to go on antibiotics to have a fighting chance.
