Help!! Please.. Baby Something Found

I hate to sound like a kill joy but really.. if there was any unwanted rodents in my ceiling or attic i surely would NOT be helping them survive. I would be culling the unfortunate soul that fell because there is probably internal injuries sustained from the fall... and then a huntin I would go! the damage they cause and the clean up is not worth the awwww factor to me

Looks like a baby squirrel to me... maybe 1 week old.

squirls have smaller ears, notice them in the pic already shown. Has anyone thought Posum? ears and tail sure resemble baby posums?

That there is a baby rat or mouse. I thought I had a baby squirrel awhile back, but after a day or 2 said it was a rat. DH even named it rat. A few days later, after its eyes opened and looking at age charts, I realized it was a mouse. I was getting up every 2 or 3 hours round the clock feeding it. I even had to take her to work and clock out every couple of hours to feed it. Only a drop or 2 at a time. Make sure you rub its butt to make it potty. VERY important. Never feed it if it feels cold. I would use a rice sock to help keep it warm. I eventually let it go in my yard after about a month, but never again will I devote so much time and effort into a mouse or rat.

Thats what I said, I have to try. I found mine outside after a rain storm. I was really hoping I had found a squirrel, but no such luck.
