1) What type of bird , age and weight: Rhode Island red, 7 weeks, around a pound or 2
2) What is the behavior, exactly. Legs not functioning drooling white liquid that's thick, chirp difference more strained
3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms?half a day
4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms? we only have the one chicken
5) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma. She acts as if the legs are broken, chirp.
6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation. N/a
7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all. Small sips of water and bits of food
8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc. dry
9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far?holding her so she doesnt put pressure on her legs because when she does it hurts her.
10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet? treat ourselves,
11) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help. n/a
12) Describe the housing/bedding in use woodchips, in a guineapig house since she's still young, and a heating lamp.
