When one of my chickens setting were about due, I could hear the little chicks peeping a day or 2 before they finally hatched.

I had one little fellow that was late and the momma was with the other 5 and wasn't setting on the egg.. So I put up a Heat Lamp and after an hour seen it drying out. I dunked the egg.. not the beak of the pip in water... carefully removed most of the shell.. Membrane still on.. Laid chick by edge of heat source and came back in about 1-2 hrs. The membrane was starting to dry out... Dunked again.

Carefully removed the membrane, put water on tip of finger and touched beak... yummy said chicky...back to heat source, next day little chick was active but it stayed around the heat lamp until day 2, and then it started hanging with momma..

I am not real experienced, I am on hatch #2, but I wondered if you can see the beak, or not. Last time I had two that were pipped for a long time, about 30 hours, and they were not even trying to do anything. They were sitting with their beaks at the hole, and the peeping got fainter and fainter. They never moved away from the hole to zip it. I helped them, one died one diddnt.

I would say to wait. No one knows your exact situation, however, I would let them go longer, if you do it too soon they could bleed to death. Esspecially if the membrane is still intact. they wont dryout if they have not pipped through the membrane.
