Help please- Goose acting weird. Unable to eat

Doctor said he possibly has emphysema. X-rays showed a pocket of either air or fluid towards the base of his neck. Due to lack of external injury, the vet said it was a possible interior puncture of his esophagus or trachea from something he swallowed and that with time, it should heal on its own. Gussie also did slightly aspirate on some liquid, but thankfully nothing too serious going on in his lungs. Doctor's orders so far:

-keep him separated from flock for 2wks
-1/2 tab 7.5mg meloxicam
-Tylan50 injection (waiting for dose)
-soft feed
-raise the waterer

Here's a picture of him post-visit. He managed to charm the whole crew and earned the title, "friendliest goose we've treated" :rolleyes:

@CloneFly how is your goose?
He's doing better, thank you! We have him on Tylan50 2mL IM injection 2x a day and 1/2tab of meloxicam. He's back to eating now, though he's still being picky because he know if he holds out long enough he'll get mealworms 😂
It's been an interesting experience having the goose in our living room- I think the hens are just as excited as we are for him to go back to the flock!

That is great news!! Having a goose in the living room has to be very interesting does he have a special TV show he likes?
We actually don't have a working TV, but maybe putting something on YouTube would be a good idea.... it worked on the duck after all! I swear, when he starts honking, he wakes up the cockatoo, dogs, indoor rooster and all the parrots- pretty sure feeding time at the local zoo is quieter than my house these days :lau:th
