This has been such a wonderful thread to read, you found an egg that would have died but you became the mother and the egg became a beautiful Goose that will be set free to live its life because of you. Amazing story and I would take a lot of photos with your son, so he can always remember too. It is sad that you will have to let him go, I am so sorry that it worked out this way for you.

Very sorry you aren't able to keep her, but I'm so glad you were able to find a rehabber to take her. Now she's going to get to live her life in freedom, find a mate, and have her own babies. And she'd never have had a chance at any of that had you not hatched that egg.
