If you can, try to buy young pullets the size of your existing pullet. Integration of birds not brooded together can be very difficult.

Hi All We're new to all this chicken stuff, but we have five birds and we even made a luxury pad and run for them to play in ! We wanted them for eggs and fun but now they are about 8 weeks old they are showing some different characteristics and at least 2 are particularly aggressive when being handled. We need to know the sex and everyone has different opinions so here's a couple of pics ! If you can, please help ? Just to get an opinion from members would help us Cheers Paul

WELCOME, WELCOME, WELCOME.. You will love this Fourm.. I am not good at guessing..we had some that looked like roosters, then turned out to be hens.. Our blue Andalusian, is just to name a few.. Their waddle & combs were more pronounced so I am not one to ask.. Keep us all posted.. We will enjoy seeing your coop & run.. Always need ideas..

Hi Everyone.

We got confirmation that our chicks are, in fact roos!

So we gave them to good homes and we bought 4 older pullets and now we are waiting for our first eggs!!!

We will keep you posted and thanks for all the replies.
