I have 4 cochin mix chickens that are now 15 weeks old. Is it to early to tell if they are pullets or roo's?? They are so hard to get pics of but today after work I will let them out of the yard and see if I can get some shots. They all are black with green sheen. 2 are EE mix, 1 RIR mix and 1 BSL mix. The roo was a BIG black full cochin!! So far all have the same neck feathers and only has any tail feathers that are suspect. I am hoping to at leash have 2 pullets in the batch. It is all I have left of the roo.

Hello :) The first thing you should see is the comb should start to redden and get bigger. Also they will start to develop sex feathers (long pointy feathers bye the tail) those are the first sure signs of a rooster. I can further help you when you post pictures.
Goodluck and Enjoy
