Help please!! Quail egg pipped 24 hours ago, not zipping!

It's been a few hours, still not much progress and definitely nowhere near done zipping... i don't even know if it's started zipping or not. Do you guys think it got shrink wrapped? The humidity went down to 45% last night and I'm worried it might've gotten shrink wrapped... if it doesn't hatch in the next few hours I think I'm going to try to help it hatch. Any advice? Should I wait until tomorrow to intervene? sorry if I'm over-worrying this is just the first time i've had problems so I'm really worried.

I would read the article I recommended earlier. It's good and tells you what to look out for.
 
Ok I did it! I was too scared to chip off more than this much, but does it look right?

(The giant hole up higher is the pip)
It's hard to see, but the membrane is grayish and I chipped off the eggshell a little ways around the bottom. I can see it kicking against the membrane, I really hope it's ok! :fl
