Has anyone had quail hatch that appear to have an air bubble on the side of its neck? Out of 21 that hatched in ou last hatch 3 of them have this and it is really weird. Maybe some kind of blister I just don't know. Please help. Will it go away? Will it get bigger? Will it kill my babies? These are coturnix. This was a mixed hatch, but I think they are some of the goldens that are affected.

Sorry you haven't gotten any answers. I've seen this before in other species on this board, but I don't remember what causes it or if it is treatable. Hopefully someone will come along and help.

Did you post in the emergencies forum? It's not 'just' for chickens

That is air in the crop just leave it be should go away in a week or so some times it can get really big it is okay. Don't mess with it

Thank yall for your responses, I tried to get some pictures but they are too small to get a good picture of them. I can only really see it after they tried to drown themselves in their water. Thanks again

could be drinking a lot. that would be water in the crop and if you picked them up sometime they will dribble lol. esp if they haven't had much to drink for a while. (like water went out)
