Help please strange behavior

My hen is sadly the last one, my other passed away a few weeks ago, the one remaining was okay at first but now doesn't do much seems to be very sad seems like she even tears up. Anyway anybody know a way to help her cheer up? We spend a lot of time with her.

She needs a flock. Either get her new friends, or if you're done with chickens, consider rehoming her to someone with an existing flock.

Definitely think about getting at least another chicken. Chickens are social creatures and need a flock or friend to be happy or survive.

If you decide to get another bird, get one as close to full grown. You can add a chick, but but a single chick will be a tougher integration.

She's a pampered girl being the one and only. I guess she just needed time. Thank you all for your replies.

I don’t think she just needs time, I think she would do so much better with another chicken friend, or several more. Time is not going to help, as you mentioned she is getting sadder with time.

She's an indoor girl now and she is very much happy without another. She was bullied lots when I still had that other one. Maybe that's why she's glad as she is. It's been more than 4 years and she's doing very good. Thank you~

Glad she is doing better, just think about getting her a friend as chickens are social and love to chat.
